THE MAKERS COLLECTIVE

The Makers Collective is a creative membership designed to bring people together through monthly hands-on projects, social outings, and a supportive community. Members learn from five talented makers throughout 6 months, gaining new skills while connecting with like-minded individuals. It’s more than crafting; it’s about fostering creativity, reducing stress, and building meaningful relationships.

Avery McCoy Collection

Bri is a clay making artist inspiring style and confidence through quality, handmade jewelry and creative workshops.

Avery McCoy is based in North Liberty and started in January 2022 with creating simple & chic polymer clay earrings. And then in 2023 the idea of workshops developed, and they have become her favorite part about her business! Her goal with workshops is to provide a space where people can come together, design and create their own unique pieces and boost their confidence while having FUN!!

Golden Ember Coffee Co.

I’m Melanie, the roaster and educator behind Golden Ember Coffee. I roast small-batch specialty coffees and lead hands-on, learning-focused classes and events that help people discover what they love in a cup, choose coffees that match their taste, and dial in easy brewing routines at home—without it feeling fussy or overwhelming.

Karlie Hunter

Handful of Made

Handful of Made takes a modern approach to the classic tradition of embroidery. Owner, Karlie Hunter, teaches the next generation how to embroider through her DIY kits and workshops. She has over 30 beginner and intermediate DIY kit designs to choose from, and each of them are hand drawn and hand assembled in her house in Story City.

We enjoy adding a personalized touch to life's special moments and making memorable gifts that are loved for a lifetime.

I’m Paige, a mom who began painting to cope with postpartum depression and unexpectedly turned it into a full art business; since then I’ve created over 500 paintings and taught more than 400 students the basics of my approachable style. Kristin is the owner, grower and creative behind Where the Flowers Are, a flower farm & florist in Muscatine, IA. Her farm offers a variety of workshops throughout the year, a bouquet club with 5 pick up locations, on-farm shopping in studio, and ships wholesale flowers across the Midwest.
